We’ll be hunting with the crew at Working Man’s Bow Ranch. Be sure to check these guys out at http://workingmansbowranch.com

In Texas, the big pigs often don’t show up until after dark. We’ll be ready for them with some pretty slick gear from the folks at Bow Lite. Their G3 Bow Lite attaches in the bow’s stabilizer hole and offers the ultimate in night-time bowhunting opportunities (where legal) and bowfishing.

Check ‘em out at http://thebowlite.com

I’ll keep you posted next week as the action unfolds.

After a windy and rainy start on day 2, the sun finally popped out, but the winds continued to blow all day. We left the comfort of the Double Bull blind to run-n-gun a bit and see if we could find a bird in the timber. On the way back to the truck we heard several toms gobbling just 100 yards from us in the timber. My buddy, Don Miller, dropped back and called while I crawled up behind a tree to wait on the approach. Three longbeards gobbled their way in to 25 yards before turning to drop back off in the bottom. I tried to come to full draw, but with so many eyes, so close, I got busted. The toms slipped away before I could get the shot. Close but no cigar!
