Introducing all new Break-Up® Infinity™

WEST POINT, MS – Mossy Oak®, the industry leader in camouflage design, is proud to introduce its newest pattern, Break-Up Infinity. Featuring unprecedented depth, unequalled detail and elements with remarkable contrast, Break-Up Infinity truly offers hunters another dimension in camo.

“After three years in the development and perfection of our newest pattern Break-Up Infinity, Mossy Oak has redefined what pure, natural camouflage is,” said Larry Moore, Director of Research and Development. “Break-Up Infinity has the greater depth of view and more realistic elements than ever before. Take the soft brown overall coloration and highlights of gray, tan and green, add in crisp shadows and the result is a camo that completely breaks up the human form yet blends in perfectly with any background.

Our development team spent months in the field photographing and selecting the perfect elements and woods background to create an image that pulls you into the pattern as if you are standing in the middle of the woods and looking into infinity.”

“Since 1996, Break-Up has been the industry leader, not just in volumes and market share, but in being the first to market with new design technologies and treatments. In 2002, advances in technology allowed us to make original Break-Up even more deep and lifelike, and we reinvented our most successful pattern.” said Toxey Haas, founder and CEO. “Break-Up has been America’s best-selling camo several times over. We always knew that to continue a leadership role, the successor to this pattern would have to be something beyond special. Honestly, this new step in the evolution has wildly exceeded even our own expectations.”

Each element in Break-Up Infinity – leaves, limbs, acorns and branches – was selected to create unprecedented realism and contrast to break up a hunter’s silhouette. Then they were placed over multiple layers of actual images from the woods to create a multi-dimensional depth of field unlike any camouflage ever created.

Break-Up Infinity is the first pattern ever that you can actually look into much the same way you look into the woods.

Bro's Destroyer 350…Sin

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

She’s black as sin from top to bottom…and you know that Bible says, “the wages of sin is death!”  And the death of many animals is exactly what I’m expecting with my 2010 BowTech Destroyer 350 that I’ve affectionately name, “Sin.”

I’ve had a lot of guys ask, “Why a black bow?”  The answer…I spend a lot of time each year in the Double Bull ground blind while in pursuit of deer, turkey, antelope, coyotes, and even bear.  When I’m in the blind, I go black…black shirt, gloves, mask, etc.  Black gear allows me to become nearly invisible when hunting from a black-backed ground blind.  The bow is obviously the closest thing to the blind window and usually the first thing to catch the eye of approaching game.  The black bow allows me to get away with more movement when ground-pounding from the Double Bull.

I’ve set this bow up with the new Ascent sight from Black Gold, TightSpot quiver, and Trophy Taker Xtreme FC arrow rest…all in black, of course.

A Look at the New Badlands Sacrifice Pack

Monday, April 19th, 2010

One of the hottest new offerings this year for hunters looking for a more comfortable backcountry hunting experience is the new Sacrifice pack from Badlands (badlandspacks.com). The Sacrifice pack is sure to provide a more comfortable hunting experience…and then some! The difference in this pack starts at its core, the pack suspension and frame. The Sacrifice is the first hunting pack on the market to offer a heat treated rail inverted frame. What this means to hunters is, they get a fully functional internal frame which weighs less than 8 ounces, but offers the support of some of those frames weighing 8 pounds! Every gram of weight put into this pack was scrutinized, taken out, weighed, and re-scrutinized. If a component’s usefulness did not match its weight, it was tossed. The Sacrifice is the lightest pack in its class. The specifications include: Weight – 3 lbs 9 oz., Dimension – 28” x 13” x 12”, Capacity 3450 ci, with 2 main compartments and 7 pockets.

Diamond Rock 2.0 Offers Value and Versatility

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Eugene, OR – Launched at the 2010 Archery Trade Show in January, the Rock 2.0 offers high class features that can be found for as low as $399, making it a premium bow at a rock bottom price.
The Rock 2.0′s 7 ½” brace height makes it an extremely forgiving bow while still sending arrows flying at 310 to 318 feet per second. A short and maneuverable axle-to-axle length (31 ½”) coupled with a mass weight of merely 3.6 pounds make it the ideal bow for tree stand and blind hunters alike. Draw lengths from 24″ to 30″ can be easily adjusted with the single rotating module. The 2-piece, ergonomic grip fits a wider range of hands, adding to the overall versatility and accuracy of the bow.

The Rock 2.0 is built with a machined 6061-T6 aluminum riser and cam system and equipped with BowTech’s premium OEM string and cables made with BCY 452X. A string stop is positioned directly in line with the stabilizer bushing to effectively transfer vibration from the string to the stabilizer, optimizing bow balance while dissipating noise and vibration efficiently.

“There’s a lot to like about the Rock 2.0; it’s really maneuverable and extremely lightweight,” comments Jerid Strasheim, national sales manager, “It’s a lot of bow for the money and was designed for the value-minded hunter.”
The Rock 2.0 comes in Realtree Hardwoods HD®. All BowTech and Diamond bows are protected with an InVelvet™ top coat. An optional Backwoods accessory package includes a 3-Pin fiber optic sight, Hostage XL capture arrow rest, black 4-arrow twist release quiver, braided wrist sling and peep.  Check it out at http://DiamondArchery.com
