Baiting black bears is quite the 
game of outsmarting a critter that is doing everything possible to outsmart you as well. It’s challenging to try and get the edge and throw just the right trick that’ll bring a big bear within bow range. I spent some time with my buddy, Mike Lloyd, early this morning on a tag-team bait run in Idaho. The sites we checked had been hit. I’m gonna try and go in for the kill in the next day or so. Mike has got another week or so before his work schedule allows him to pull an evening hunt. Bears are starting to die! It’s that time! Stories to come…
