for bowfishing, so I want to share a little more about my basic setup for shooting carp and gar.

And this past weekend, I tried the products mentioned above on a Mathews Genesis bow. Yep, a kids bow. I was really curious how the smooth drawing Genesis bow would perform on carp. And I must say, I was pretty impressed. For fairly close shots on fish up to 10 pounds or so, the bow performed really well. However, I’d like a little more punch for the bigger fish that we encountered on our carp shoot. I’ll try the Mathews Ignition or Mission Craze on future hunts.
